Pulmonary Critical Care Opening in Waterloo, IAHighlights-Full-time opportunity to join an experienced team (2MD and 2APP)-Efficient, well-supported pulmonary clinic located on hospital campus-Experienced, dedicated, and supportive staff-Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30-Shared call coverage with work/life balance-204 bed hospital with an established Hospitalist Team-Support from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists-Outpatient clinic equipped with 6 consultation rooms & 1 procedure room-12 bed ICU with Intensivist-Cardio and Pulmonary Rehab onsite-Fully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordinationWe offer:-A combination of ICU and consult opportunities in a well-established hospital system -Supportive colleagues and staff who value teamwork and autonomy -Competitive compensation and benefits, including opportunities for professional growth -A location that combines small-town charm with access to modern amenities-Rewarding mix between outpatient and inpatient -Critical care, hospital consults, pulmonary procedures, and outpatient medicine-Average outpatient volume: 16-20 patients per day-Average 5 patient consults daily (clinic hours only)-3-4 patients daily census in ICU-Full range of office care and diagnostic services for patients with lung disorders such as chronic obstructive lung disease, asthma, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease, lung nodule, and lung cancer-Ultrasound, Lab, PFT, and Respiratory Therapist on site-Spacious fully equipped surgical room-Exposure to procedures: endobronchial US guided bronchoscopy, CT guided bronchoscopy, pleurx placement, thoracentesis, arterial lines, central lines, dialysis catheters, Chest tube management/placement-Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serveQualifications:-MD or DO-Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Critical Care-Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State-Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician†s field of practice-Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)-J-1 waiver sponsorship availableThe CommunityWaterloo and Cedar Falls comprise a metro area of more than 107,000 residents who are proud to call the Cedar Valley home.
