Landscape Purchasing Coordinator
Hively Landscapes, a leader in outdoor design since 1968, is seeking a dedicated Landscape Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Dover, PA. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth procurement and coordination of all plants, materials, and supplies for our yard, inventory, and client projects. Responsibilities
Review and interpret materials lists, including quantities, sizing, types, and target pricing for projects.
Create and manage purchase orders with multiple vendors, overseeing the process from ordering through delivery or pickup.
Assist crews by providing necessary job materials and serving as a resource for material-related questions.
Maintain catalog and inventory items, including additions, pricing updates, and conducting annual inventory counts.
Monitor plant material daily to ensure proper placement and care, including watering needs.
Track material costs against project budgets and communicate any significant discrepancies or challenges to the team.
Qualifications
Knowledge of plants and materials relevant to residential landscape installation.
Experience handling materials in landscaping or a related field.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using technology, including email and digital scheduling tools.
Valid drivers license and ability to commute to the Dover, PA office daily.
Ability to pass a U.S. Department of Transportation physical and participate in random drug and alcohol testing.
Physical ability to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs., bend, twist, kneel, work with hands and hand tools, safely use small power tools, use ladders, and walk on uneven ground.
