Environmental/Instrumentation Field Engineer

Field Services Engineer/Technician Pay: $75,000-85,000, based on experience Travel: 50-75% Travel Required Ohio Lumex Co., Inc. is a growing manufacturer of advanced analytical instrumentation and environmental monitoring solutions used by industrial facilities across North America. Our technologies help customers monitor emissions, improve processes, and meet environmental compliance requirements. We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Technician or Field Service Engineer to join our Field Services team. Candidates may be hired at either level depending on education, experience, and technical background. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers in a variety of industrial environments. What You'll Do As a member of our Field Services team, you will travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and support Ohio Lumex instrumentation and monitoring systems. Responsibilities Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service analytical instrumentation at customer facilities Perform environmental and process testing projects at industrial sites including power plants, cement plants, refineries, and manufacturing facilities Collect and document testing data while maintaining quality assurance and quality control standards Learn and apply EPA, ASTM, and other industry testing methods Prepare field reports and technical documentation Collaborate with engineering, laboratory, and production teams to support customer projects Maintain a strong commitment to safety while working in industrial environments Qualifications Technical, scientific, engineering, or related education and/or equivalent hands‑on experience Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or troubleshooting skills Ability to travel 50-75% of the time, including occasional overnight travel Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as climbing ladders and stairs Comfortable working in industrial facilities, including elevated platforms and outdoor environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies and procedures Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team Authorized to work in the United States Ability to pass a background check and drug screening What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Company‑paid Life Insurance and Short‑Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Travel opportunities throughout the United States Career growth and professional development opportunities Collaborative, team‑oriented work environment where your contributions are recognized and valued Why Ohio Lumex?
