Auto and Heavy Truck Painterswelcome to apply! Body Shop Paint Mechanic/Technician Job Duties:Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, priming, andfilling imperfections. Mix paint colors according to manufacturerspecifications and customer requirements. Apply paint coats usingvarious techniques such as spraying, brushing, and rolling to achievedesired finish. Ensure even coverage and proper adhesion of paint layersby following established procedures. Conduct color matching to achieveaccurate matches with existing paint finishes. Perform qualityinspections to identify and rectify any paint defects or imperfections.Use detailing techniques to blend paint finishes seamlessly and achievea uniform appearance. Clean and maintain painting equipment, includingspray guns, paint booths, and mixing tools. Collaborate with othertechnicians and team members to prioritize work orders and meetdeadlines. Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while handlingpaints, chemicals, and equipment. Keep accurate records of paintmaterials used, work performed, and hours worked. Body Shop PaintMechanic/Technician Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent;vocational or technical training in automotive, industrial painting ispreferred. Proven experience as a body shop paint mechanic or painter.Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, including sanding,masking, and priming. Knowledge of paint mixing, color matching, andapplication methods. Familiarity with different types of paints,finishes, and coatings. Attention to detail and a strong eye for colorand texture. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentwhile maintaining quality standards. Excellent communication andteamwork skills.
