This role is designed for experienced mechanical professionals who want project ownership, influence, and the opportunity to work at the highest level of mechanical construction and design-build delivery.Senior Project Managers at Grunau are differentiated by their ability to lead complex work, sell and deliver projects, and develop the next generation of leaders within our organization.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating and Preconstruction Leadership:Lead estimating efforts across Pipefitting and Sheet MetalDevelop and execute design-build estimates, partnering with internal teams and clientsMentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in change order pricing and cost controlProactively support company-wide estimating and pursuit effortsLabor Planning and Field LeadershipForecast and manage labor hours to support project financial goalsCoordinate manpower planning and schedulingBuild strong, collaborative relationships with the Foremen and field crewsCommunicate clearly to align expectations between office and field operationsSafety LeadershipChampion jobsite safety from project kickoff through closeoutPerform safety audits and proactively address potential risksFoster a culture where safety is planned, communicated, and executes at every levelClient Development and SalesOwn and manage client, owner, and general contractor relationshipsActively pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnershipsLead proposal development and participate in client presentationsServe as trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycleTechnical and DesignApply comprehensive mechanical system knowledge across diverse project typesLeverage building code and standards experience to deliver value-driven solutionsUtilize mechanical design experience to support complex design-build projectsOperational Excellence and LeadershipDeliver projects that meet or exceed planned gross marginsMentor and develop Project Managers and Assistant Project ManagersFollow and continuously improve Grunau's Project Management processesLead by example through continuous improvement, accountability, and professionalismRequired Education* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or Equivalent ExperienceRequired Demonstrated Experience10+ years of progressive project management experience in mechanical contractingProven experience in piping and sheet metal systemsMechanical design experience strongly preferredDemonstrated success building and maintaining long term client relationshipsDeep understanding of mechanical construction practices, processes and standardsExperience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teamsStrong estimating background across mechanical tradesDemonstrable success developing and maintaining customer relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; adaptable to new software platformsLEED accreditation a plusPAY RANGE: Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience + Performance based incentive compensationEXCELLENT BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Short + Long-Term Disability, Matching 401K, Profit Sharing, Opportunity to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program.STATEMENT: Grunau Company Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
