Together, we form a community that cares.The Opportunity:We are hiring a Retail Associate at our San Diego locations to help manage day to day operations, serve as a product expert and provide excellent customer service.Our ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment, believes in the importance of creating a great customer experience, and will work to ensure every customer feels welcomed. If you have a background in retail environments, enjoy working with people, are creative and detail oriented, we'd love to have you on our team!* Seasonal opportunities are not available at this timeResponsibilities include:.Models standards of excellence in customer service through direct, intentional interaction.Proactive in handling customer complaints and issuesCreates purchase orders and receives product. Oversees product transfers between shops.Maintains standards of cleanliness, stocking floor and keeping back stock organized.Coordinate and host events as neededArrange flowers according to Communal's standards. Follow floral budget and adapt to seasonal changesShop plant and display careFollowing daily task lists and self managed multi-tasking throughout the dayAssist merchandising team with keeping the floor clean, stocked and up to Communal's aesthetic standardsMaintain excellent relationships with vendors and suppliers.Create and update daily, weekly, and monthly task lists to ensure cleanliness and organization of retail areas.Train new associates in retail and floral tasksWhy you're right for this jobDetail-oriented with high-quality standards.Self-motivated, energetic, and professional.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Passionate about creating beautiful, functional retail spaces.You love cultivating community, connection and conversationCustomer Service mindset; you go above and beyond to serve the customerProactive and self-motivated, with high standards for quality.Can remain calm and collected during peak times and under stressRequirements :High School Diploma or GED equivalent1+ years experience in retail environmentExperience operating POS systemsFlexible schedule including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30lbWillingness to travel between store locations as requiredPosition Details :This is a part time, hourly non-exempt position. The pay for this position is $17.30 per hour with additional tips as a share of the pool. Benefits include 40 hours sick time, free drinks, discounts, 401k for eligible employees after one year. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) San Diego County.
