Must possess exceptional ability in assessing and evaluating students and adapting coaching techniques to obtain the desired results, exceptional communication skills in presenting information in group settings, and coaching one-on-one skills. Must conduct classroom instruction and range (riding) coaching, complete course administrative paperwork utilizing both electronic and physical means, maintain appropriate course documentation, prepare DMV documentation for students to take with them upon successful completion of the course, pre-ride (T-CLOCS) check and related light motorcycle maintenance, maintain clean facilities. Must possess the ability to stand for lengths of time on hot, wet, or cold pavement and under direct sunlight throughout the day, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and move motorcycles by hand, the ability to learn procedures, policies, and practices and apply them appropriately in all situations, and the ability to take the necessary and additional rider courses and instructor training, pass written and riding skills evaluations, and other assessments as required.This position is located on the Midlands Technical College - Beltline Campus in the Corporate and Continuing Education - Industrial Department.Minimum and Additional RequirementsThis position requires the regular operation of college vehicles. The selected candidate must possess a valid South Carolina Driver's license and acceptable 10-year driving record.High School Diploma and current certification by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to teach the Basic Rider Curriculum. Candidate must have experience with the safe operation of motorcycles. Candidate must have the ability to correctly and safely demonstrate the full range of motorcycle functions as outlined in the course curriculum.
