Construction Project Lead ( Retail/Store A&E Coordination)

Title: Construction Project Lead – Retail Store Planning Location: Greater Marlborough Area, MA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Employment Type: Contract Status: Accepting Candidates About the role This role supports high-volume retail store development by leading the review and coordination of architectural and engineering plans. You will act as a central point of contact ensuring store designs meet established construction and planning standards across new stores and expansions. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage Architectural & Engineering (A&E) drawing reviews for new retail stores Ensure compliance with retail construction specifications, MEP standards, and store layouts Manage and oversee external consultants for plan reviews and site surveys Interface with architects, engineers, landlords, developers, and internal construction teams Review site survey packages and resolve design or compliance issues early Maintain and update construction specifications and MEP sample sets Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Retail Construction, Store Planning, Architecture, or Engineering Strong knowledge of general construction, retail store planning, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems Proven experience reviewing architectural and MEP drawings Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and consultants in parallel Proficiency with Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, Adobe (Lucernex preferred) Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management or related field Compensation (MA Pay Transparency): Estimated hourly range: $35–$40/hr (W-2) Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
