Business Development Lead – US Market(Sales Focus | Remote – US/Canada | Travel Required)An established global engineering technology company is seeking a Business Development Lead to support expansion across the US construction technology market.This is a founding sales hire with a high degree of autonomy, suited to someone with strong industry relationships, a proven track record in enterprise sales, and the ability to open and close complex deals.Role OverviewThis role is responsible for driving new business, managing the full sales cycle, and developing long-term client relationships within the US construction technology ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage a pipeline of enterprise opportunitiesIdentify and engage prospective clients within the construction and built environment sectorLeverage networks to generate warm introductions and accelerate deal flowLead end-to-end sales cycles from initial engagement through to closeWork closely with technical and presales teams on proposals and solution scopingNegotiate and manage multi-stakeholder enterprise dealsDevelop and maintain senior-level client relationshipsIdentify opportunities for account growth and long-term partnershipsRepresent the business at industry events and conferencesMaintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline updatesRequirements5+ years’ experience in business development or sales within AEC, construction technology, BIM, or related sectorsMust have experience selling BIM professional servicesStrong understanding of US construction workflows and procurement processesExperience selling technical, engineering-led, or software-based solutionsProven ability to generate pipeline and close enterprise dealsConfident in consultative, solution-based sellingExperience working with global or distributed teams is beneficialWhy ApplyHigh autonomy role shaping US market growthDirect collaboration with senior leadershipOpportunity within a fast-scaling construction technology businessExposure to complex, high-value enterprise deals
