Job Title: Assistant Category ManagerLocation: Pittsburgh, PAWork Schedule: OnsitePosition Summary:The Assistant Category Manager will support the development and execution of strategies to optimize product categories, drive profitable sales growth, support customer marketing plans, and enhance consumer satisfaction.This role requires strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational excellence across assigned categories.Key Responsibilities:Assist in executing retail and channel marketing strategiesSupport demand planning and forecasting processesTrack and analyze category performance (sales, margins, inventory metrics)Plan and execute promotional events and pricing initiativesPartner with Sales to define assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional plansCoordinate retail product onboarding submissionsSupport new product launches and in-store activation effortsAssist in expanding retail, wholesale, and eCommerce channelsDevelop customer business reviews highlighting category performance and growth opportunitiesAnalyze retail and POS data to drive brand performance and monitor competitive activitySupport field events, partnerships, and retail execution initiativesMonitor market trends and competitor strategiesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field2+ years of Category Management experience within food & beverage retailExperience executing promotional events and customer-facing initiativesStrong analytical and data interpretation skillsProficiency in category management tools, analytics platforms, and advanced Microsoft ExcelExperience delivering successful customer presentationsStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
