This role oversees Color Station Supervisors and Technicians to ensure the accurate preparation, mixing, and adjustment of pigments and dyes for bulk cosmetic products. The Manager ensures all operations meet production targets, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Acting as a bridge between Bulk Operations, Quality, R&D, and Planning, the Bulk Technical Team Manager provides strategic direction, resolves escalated issues, and supports the development of both staff and processes to achieve best-in-class performance.Essential FunctionsLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop Color Station Supervisors, Coordinators, and Technicians to foster a high-performance team.Define team goals, KPIs, and objectives aligned with overall Bulk Operations targets.Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning for Color Station staff.Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.Operational OversightOversee all aspects of color preparation and dispensing to ensure accurate pigment handling, shade consistency, and timely batch support.Partner with Planning and Production teams to align color station capacity with production schedules.Review and approve escalated color adjustments, deviations, or process changes.Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and cosmetic industry standards across all color operations.Cross-Functional CollaborationAct as primary liaison between Color Station operations and internal Quality Control, R&D, and Industrial Engineering and external customers.Collaborate with R&D and Quality on new product launches, formula transfers, and scale-up activities.Support Planning and Scheduling with accurate lead times, resource planning, and color readiness for upcoming batches.Continuous Improvement & ComplianceLead initiatives to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance consistency in color preparation.Implement best practices in pigment handling, color-matching technology, and documentation accuracy.Oversee internal audits of the Color Station and prepare the team for external inspections (FDA, ISO, customer audits).Ensure robust training programs are in place for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff.Inventory & Resource ManagementOversee product color standard inventory and engage customer service monthly for biannual updates.Approve requisitions for materials, equipment, and maintenance to support uninterrupted operations.Provide monthly reporting on color station performance, pigment usage, and efficiency metrics.
