Entry Level Roadway Engineering InternOur client is a full-service, multi-disciplined firm located in Longwood, FL looking to grow its Roadway Department. This is a great opportunity for an Entry Level Roadway Engineering Intern with their EI License to join our client's Roadway Team. Our client's employees enjoy having the opportunity to work on multiple types of projects to expand their skill set.Responsibilities:Assisting Professional Engineers in the development of conventional roadway plan sets for FDOT and various City/County clientsWork closely with experience Engineers and Project Managers to develop accurate and precise design for various projectsDeveloping 2D & 3D models for roadway design projects that meet current FDOT submittal standards (create 3D surfaces, alignments and profiles)Prepare submittal packages as required for agency permitting and phased review submittalsStay up to date with industry trends and advancements in CAD technologyAssist Senior Engineers/Project Managers in a variety of project dutiesQualifications:B.S or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University0-4 years of post-graduation experience with the geometric layout of intersections and roadways including rural, urban and limited access systemsEngineering Intern (EI) License required.Working knowledge of current standards from FDOT, AASHTO, and MUTCDAbility to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team to meet challenging design and schedule requirementsStrong technical writing and communication skillsFlorida Department of Transportation project experience is a plusPreferred Skills: MicroStation, Open Roads Designer Connect Edition, Microsoft Office 365 SuiteIf you meet these qualifications, please apply or reach out to mforde@aectac.com.
