Speech and Language Pathologist in Escondido, CA

A specialized contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified with CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status to serve students at an elementary school in Escondido, CA. This position offers a full-time schedule working 40 hours weekly from 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, beginning August 5, 2024, through June 12, 2025.Key Responsibilities:Deliver speech-language pathology (SLP) services to students in grades TK through 5.Manage a caseload of approximately 46 students, including those with speech IEPs and middle school special day class (SDC) students receiving speech services.Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments.Prepare detailed reports and documentation.Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.Qualifications and Desired Experience:Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.Bilingual abilities are highly preferred and valued.Willingness to collaborate with assistants (SLPA) if the position cannot be filled solely by an SLP.Additional Information:This position is not open to teletherapy or hybrid work; services will be provided onsite.The role is based in an elementary school environment focusing on speech therapy services.Immediate interviewing is underway for qualified candidates.Interested professionals who meet the qualifications and are eager to support students' communication development are encouraged to apply.
