JOB SUMMARY:The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports the program’s Global team by designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform, with a focus on automation, deployment, and continuous improvement.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platformDevelop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or TerraformCollaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelinesParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify automation and process improvement opportunitiesDesign, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShellTest and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defectsTrack and assess the impact of infrastructure changes such as patching and maintenanceREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Must obtain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) within three months of startingExperience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RedHat OpenStack, or NutanixExperience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administrationExperience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or AnsibleExperience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environmentEDUCATION: Bachelor's with 5+ or Master's with 3+ Years of ExperienceLOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, COCLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Top Secret (SCI Eligibility)DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level IISALARY RANGE: $120,000 to $130,000PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
