Our mission is to create better outcomes for students by supporting the educators who make it happen, through smarter matching, fairer pay, and ongoing support.This Assistant Teacher role offers the opportunity to take an active part in instruction, leading small group activities, co-teaching lessons, and providing individualized support to help students achieve their academic goals.Responsibilities:Assisting the classroom teacherWork with individual and (or) small groups of students to reinforce instructed materialAssist in compiling classroom communicationsMaintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and a safe learning environmentUtilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student learning experiences and support them as neededSupport with personal care or hygiene as needed, including toiletingRequired Qualifications:-High School Diploma or equivalent-Experience working with children with Special Educational needs-Experience working with personal care-US Work Authorization. Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.-Applicants must have professional proficiency in EnglishPhysical Requirements:Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the classroom throughout the dayAble to lift up to 20 lbs and safely assist students when needed (kneeling, bending, quick response)Additional physical requirements may be requested during your application processPreferred Qualifications:Past work experience in a schoolCPI TrainingSalaryPay: $22 - $25 per hour, paid weekly.Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).Benefits:Weekly payPaid Sick Leave401K (certain eligibility criteria)Don't wait!
