Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC.$160,000 – $180,000 + packageThe OpportunityAn established EPC business operating across nuclear, conventional generation, renewables, and power delivery is looking to hire a Supervising Mechanical Engineer to lead major power projects across the U.S.This is a leadership role where you’ll take ownership of mechanical engineering delivery from concept through to construction and closeout on large-scale generation projects.What You’ll Be DoingLead the mechanical discipline on large power generation projects.Act as Engineer of Record (PE), sign and seal drawings.Deliver full mechanical design scope:PFDs / P&IDs / AFDs.Equipment layouts & isometrics.Systems covering water, steam, gas, air & oil.Coordinate multi-discipline engineering teamsDevelop:Engineering calculations & reports.Specs & design documentation.Project schedules & manhour estimates.Ensure designs meet codes, standards & construction requirements.What They’re Looking For10+ years in mechanical design for conventional power generation (fossil plants).5+ years in a leadership / supervisory role.PE License (US).Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Strong experience across plant mechanical systems.Nice to have:AFT Fathom / AFT Arrow.HVAC / Fire Protection design.Autodesk Plant3D.Master’s degree.Why It’s Worth a LookWork on major U.S. power projects (simple & combined cycle)True engineering leadership position.End-to-end project ownership.Stable EPC environment with a strong pipeline.
