Growing together.ThePer Diem Patient Access Representative Associateis responsible for greeting and welcoming patients in person.Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.Location:800 E 28thSt, Minneapolis, MN 55407Primary Responsibilities:Greet and welcomes patient in personCollects demographic and insurance informationChecks in and interview patients to complete appropriate paperworkDirects patient to their appointment or procedureMay assist in scheduling add-on appointmentsDocument any issues and resolutions in electronic medical recordResolve claim issues or registration errors on patient accountsUses resources, tools and procedures to complete registration for accounts and in assigned work queuesVerifies insurance eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results focusing on complex billing situationsObtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessaryCollects co-pay or deductibles and respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs available. Refers complex questions as neededScreening and approving patients for financial assistance programsAssists and counsel's patient with application process for available financial assistance programsProvides technical or functional direction for employeesAssist patients in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate departmentObtains signatures from patients as neededMay gather medical record information from all departments for collectionProvide customer service for inbound and outbound telephone callsMay mentor other staff as neededOther duties as assignedYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:6+ months of customer service experience in an office/hospital settingIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productsAbility to work day & evening hours, Monday - Friday for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training scheduleAbility to work on a Per Diem basis within 1st, 2ndor 3rdshift, including weekendsMust be 18 years of age OR olderPreferred Qualifications:Revenue Cycle experienceGeneral office experienceEpic experience Physical Demands:Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc.Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
