DescriptionWelcomes gaming license applicants by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries/ Directs applicants by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing badges. assists licensing staff by conducting research and organizing license files.RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED RequiredIssues Badges and maintains hardware and databases associated with the badge issuance machineEnsures that the employee and vendor licensing investigations are carried out in the thorough and consistent manner.Maintains accuracy of license application informationMaintains high level of knowledge in the field of background investigations as well as tribal, state and federal licensing regulations.Knowledge in the areas of the IGRA, casino gaming, tribal ordinances, regulations, and internal control standards recommendedValid drivers license and the ability to pass the NIGC key license backgroundBasic operation of a workstation and general office equipment. Computer related problem solving skills through the use of available trainings and help deskKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, excel, etc.) internet software and appropriate storage of electronic filesGood Verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skillsCursory Knowledge of gaming commission licensing regulations recommended.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to multitask and work in a fast paced, high pressure environmentInteracts with internal and external employeesCorresponds and communicates with federal, state and tribal regulatory agenciesErroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success and integrity of the department as well as the agency
