The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture drives the opportunity to cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.As a Respiratory Therapist Flights - Neonate, you will perform respiratory procedures under physician direction and/or clinical guidelines in the care of Flight for Life NICU patients for Transports and hospital base. You will be responsible for patient assessments, care plans, plan implementation and evaluation and revision of therapy plan as needed. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure the most effective and efficient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. You will need to utilize knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. You will support the organization vision and mission and practices performance improvement techniques to assure the delivery of the most effective patient care.Job RequirementsExperience RequirementsThree (3) years of respiratory therapy experience including Level III/IV NICU, requiredCritical Care air and ground transport experience, preferredPrior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferredEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma / G.E.D., requiredAssociate Degree, preferredLicense/Certification RequirementsMust have current state Respiratory Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment. Must have CRT by NBRC.Basic Life Support American Heart Association, requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association Required ACLS certification from upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire (for locations in Kansas, ACLS is required within one (1) year of hire/transfer date).Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required Current NRP certificationCertified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) yearsValid Driver License, requiredValid driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operationsMust maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport SystemsS.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferredPhysical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Proudly part of CommonSpirit Health, Flight For Life Colorado was the first civilian, hospital-based emergency medical helicopter program in the United States.
