Donation Receiver

Gift & Thrift is seeking a full-time Donation Receiver who enjoys working with people and whose responsibilities include: available to work weekdays and Saturdays, typically 9-5 or 8:30-4:30 receive and pre-sort incoming donations assist donors and customers who come to the dock area to pick up large items assemble/disassemble objects (i.e. furniture to be loaded into vehicles) operate a pallet jack and hand truck provide customer service work cooperatively with other staff and volunteers be willing to work Saturdays able to stand and lift throughout shift follow directions, learn work flow, work well independently Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and over 100 pounds occasionally. Must be at least 18 years of age. Gift & Thrift, as part of a network of not-for-profit Thrift Shops, supports the local and global relief, development and peace projects of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). We are looking for a person who supports the mission of MCC (see mcc.org).
