Structural Engineer - Hybrid

Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Structural engineer in the Jersey City, NJ area.The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of diverse experience in building structural systems design in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and holds a Professional Engineer's license In the state of New York and/or New Jersey.This is a full-time, hybrid position.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:Analyzing and reviewing drawings, structural calculations, specifications, reports, and studies for compliance with codes and standards; coordinating the review comments from other technical disciplines and preparing memoranda for transmitting comments to the line departments; and attending meetings with tenant Architect/Engineer of Records to discuss the review comments and resolve the issues.Work may consist of a variety of duties in support of construction management operations.QUALIFICATIONS Include, But Are Not Limited To, The FollowingBachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.Minimum of five (5) years of diverse experience in building structural systems design.Professional Engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey required.Knowledge of applicable construction codes and their reference standards in city of New York, New York State, and state of New Jersey.Proper understanding of engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities.Interpersonal and effective communication skills, both oral and written, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Demonstrated ability to work independently in a decision-making capacity.Powered by JazzHR
