Speech Therapist?- Full Time

Speech TherapistUnder the direction of a physician, the Speech Pathologist diagnoses speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders and is able to prescribe and implement therapeutic measures.Essential Functions:Performs treatments on patients at the scheduled time.Instructs and prepares the patient for the treatment.Applies the appropriate intervention based on plan of care.Monitors patients during treatments.Follows policy and procedure for charting/documentation.Develops and instructs patients in home programs.Performs DC planning.Monitors stock levels and orders supplies as needed.Cleans equipment and returns it to storage if appropriate.Must be competent with modified barium swallowing tests or have a competent therapist available to train with.Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.Performs other duties as assigned.Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).Work Experience:One year experience as a CCC-SLP preferred.Education:CCC-SLP and Texas State License required.Bachelor's or Master's degree in SLP required.BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire date.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Lifting/Carrying 1-10 lbs. 34-66% TimePushing/Pulling 1-10 lbs. 34-66% TimeMovement Bend/Stoop/Twist 0-67% TimeCrouching/Squatting 0-67% TimeKneeling/Crawling 0-67% TimeReaching above Shoulder 0-33% TimeReaching below Shoulder 0-33% TimeRepetitive Arm 0-33% TimeRepetitive Hand 0-33% TimeGrasping 0-33% TimeSqueezing 0-33% TimeClimb Stairs NoneWalking Uneven 0-33% TimeWalking Even 34-66% TimeEnvironment Indoors 67-100% TimeOutdoors 0-33% TimeEquipment Motor Vehicles NoneFoot Pedals NoneVision Depth Perception Required
