Vocational Rehabilitation ServicesAdministration of Human Resource ProgramsCommercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and LeasingTechnical and Trade SchoolsOther Motor Vehicle DealersA Berks county manufacturing company is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for immediate start.(MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HAND TOOLS or POWER TOOLS WITH EITHER MECHANICAL OR CONSTRUCTION BACKGROUND OR ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE)Pay Rate - $19.50 per hour (1st shift) / $20.00 per hour (2nd shift)Location: Reading, PAShift: Monday through Friday, 1 st : 5:00am - 2:30pm / 2 nd : 4:00pm - 2:00amOvertime: Should be prepared for 10+ hr. days. Weekend work will be based off of workload (voluntary, not mandatory)Prequalification testing - Tape measure test & Reading testIdeal candidates will possess:1.) measuring skills/tape measure2.) ability to use power tools3.) be mechanically inclined or have experience in a particular mechanical trade*ability to read blueprints/work orders is a big plusJob Description/Duties may include any of the following:Assembly of aluminum partsOperation of punch press and other machinery for fabricationFlooring work and floor rollingFinishing workOperation of overhead craneOperation of power tools including: impacts, drills; screw drivers; crimpers; circular sawsAbility to work with aluminum and steelExcellent measuring and reading skillsPossible suspension work (for installation) *Do not have to have performed all of these duties in the past. Training may take 1-2 months where you are introduced to other job duties. By the end of training, you should be able to read and interpret work orders and blueprints. *Must have ability to comprehend English and communicate effectively*Must have reliable transportation to and from workPhysical Demands- Ability to stand for entirety of shift (10+ hours), ability to bend/reach/stoop, should have strong wrists, ability to lift 50 lbs.Advancement opportunities and cross-training available.Benefits- Medical and prescription insurances.
