Maintenance - Director of Buildings and Grounds
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe job was established for the purpose of planning, organizing and directing the maintenance, repair and alteration of district buildings, grounds and equipment; serving as the district representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently, safely, professionally and within regulatory guidelines and projected deadlines; preparing and managing the annual budgets for the maintenance, grounds and custodial departments; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. The Director of Buildings and Grounds has the ability and skill to fill in for any other maintenance position.SALARY RANGE: Starting at $65,154.38New employees receive credit for previous FULL years of verified experience in appropriate experience related to the area in which they will work.Current District 32 salary schedules.WORK SCHEDULEThis position works year round.BENEFITSDirector 12-month employees at Perry County School District 32 receive the following benefits:The district pays up to $650.00 per month for the employee's medical insurance, which begins on the first day of the month following the official employment date. Vision, dental, and life insurance are optional and at employee expense.District-paid $10,000.00 life insurance policy.Paid leave: 12 sick days and unused sick leave will be cumulative to 180 days, with a maximum carryover of 168 days; 2 personal days that do not carryover, but are added to the annual sick leave and then qualify for accumulation; 20 days of vacation, these do not qualify for accumulation.Excellent retirement package, with District-matched 6.86% contribution to PEERS.
