They are accountable for the performance, reliability, and compliance of facilities, utilities, and infrastructure across a multi-building manufacturing campus.This role leads the evolution of facilities operations from reactive, undocumented maintenance to a structured, system-driven, and audit-ready program. The Facilities Manager ensures that aging and complex infrastructure safely supports manufacturing operations while meeting environmental, insurance, regulatory, and customer expectations.This is a hands-on, highly operational leadership role that blends facilities management, preventive maintenance program development, capital project execution, and compliance enablement in a high-scrutiny manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities & Utilities OperationsOwn day-to-day performance of building systems, including HVAC, exhaust, electrical, water, gas, compressed air, and specialized manufacturing utilitiesEnsure infrastructure reliability in support of current production and future capacity needsServe as first-line responder and lead coordinator for facility-related incidents and emergenciesPreventive & Corrective MaintenanceDesign, implement, and sustain a disciplined preventive maintenance programShift facilities execution from reactive response to planned, risk-based maintenanceEnsure all work is scheduled, documented, and traceable within ERP/CMMS systems (IFS preferred)Capital Projects & Infrastructure ImprovementsLead facilities capital and non-capital projects from scope definition through executionManage contractors, engineers, design firms, and service providersEnsure permitting, safety, and regulatory requirements are metBalance urgent remediation with long-term infrastructure strategy and lifecycle planningCompliance, Documentation & Audit ReadinessTake ownership of legacy facilities documentation, including drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and utility recordsEstablish controlled, versioned documentation systems that are defensible and maintainableSupport insurance inspections, customer audits, and compliance reviewsPartner with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality teams to prevent facilities-driven findingsFinancial & Planning AccountabilityDevelop and manage facilities operating and project budgetsForecast capital and expense needs tied to infrastructure condition and riskSupport reinvestment decisions with clear, data-driven business casesStakeholder EngagementAct as the facilities point of contact for lessors, utilities, insurance carriers, contractors, and corporate partnersParticipate in customer site walkthroughs and infrastructure reviews when requiredCommunicate risks, priorities, and execution status clearly and proactively to leadershipSystems & Data EnablementDrive effective use of ERP and maintenance management systemsEnsure facilities data integrity, traceability, and auditabilityUtilize MS Office tools for planning, reporting, and communicationPeople LeadershipLead and develop Facilities Specialists with clear expectations and accountabilitySet execution standards and reinforce safe, disciplined work practicesAddress performance gaps and support continuous improvementBuild a culture of ownership, teamwork, and follow-throughThe Environment You’ll SupportFacilities responsibilities span multiple owned and leased buildings supporting discrete manufacturing, including:Aging infrastructure across various lifecycle stagesCleanroom-adjacent operationsAcid management and hydrogen systemsHigh-capacity HVAC and exhaust systemsHeavy CNC machining and glassblowing operationsSemiconductor customer, insurance, and regulatory oversightQualificationsRequired10+ years of facilities or infrastructure management experience5+ years of people leadership experienceExperience supporting manufacturing or industrial facilitiesDemonstrated success managing aging infrastructure in active production environmentsCommercial construction and project management experienceStrong contractor and vendor management capabilityWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and utility systemsPreferredExperience in semiconductor, semiconductor materials, or high-purity manufacturingExperience with IFS ERP or comparable CMMS/ERP platformsBackground in regulated, audit-intensive manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with insurance inspections, landlord coordination, and regulatory reviewsWhy You’ll Love Working at Tosoh QuartzLocated in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Tosoh Quartz offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well‑being, and long‑term growth, including:Comprehensive health and wellness benefits$500 annual wellness reimbursement401(k) with Company matchGenerous PTO accrual and 10 paid holidaysTuition reimbursementDependent scholarship and education assistanceColumbia Sportswear Employee Store accessAdditional perks that make Tosoh Quartz a great place to build your careerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Please note: All applicants who receive a conditional offer of employment will be required to successfully complete pre-employment drug and background screenings.
