It is this combination of high-quality construction and safe working environment that has earned us numerous “Tank of the Year” awards from the Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association, American Water Works Association, and Tnemec Industrial Coatings.Job PurposeWith limited supervisor, the EHS Manager will travel throughout the United States performing onsite audits, provide educational courses, and ensure compliance with all regulations issued by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other government agencies, as well as Company policies. This individual will be building relationships with field workers and other management staff promoting a positive, proactive safety culture. This personal must be a self-starting, creative individual who can manage their own schedule responsibly, and help create their own position at Phoenix.“Fear of heights will make this position extremely difficult”.Description Of Essential DutiesTravel nationwide, 70%-90% of the time.Conduct jobsite audits and inspections primarily in the Eastern/Central time zones.Evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety systems.Train, coach, and educate all levels of staff and employees.Create programs that best fit Phoenix and meet regulatory requirements.Perform incident investigations and root case analysis.Help manage safety inventory and budget.Review and interpret contracts as they relate to safety.Remain up to date on state and federal workplace safety regulations.Willingness to obtain professional development through education.Represent Phoenix in meetings with government agencies and customers professionally.Management Environmental Programs for Shop, Facilities, and sites.Manage Incident Investigations, Substance Abuse Program, and Workers’ Compensation issues.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone
