Maintenance (Lube Technician)Company: Insight Pipe Contracting - A PURIS CompanyPosition Summary: The Heavy Equipment Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on a variety of heavy equipment and diesel engine trucks. This role focuses on lubrication, fluid checks, oil changes, inspections, and accurate recordkeeping to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesLubricate moving parts of diesel engine trucks and heavy equipment using hand or air-powered grease gunsInject grease into springs, universal joints, steering knuckles, and related componentsInspect and maintain proper fluid levels including engine oil, fuel, grease, transmission, differential, rear axle, steering gear, and power steering reservoirsDrain and refill engine oil to required levelsReplace oil and air filtersSpray leaf springs with lubricant using spray equipmentAdd water to radiators and batteries as neededCheck and maintain proper tire air pressurePerform preventative maintenance services per company policyCollect and handle oil and fluid samples for analysisSafely operate a lube/grease truck to service company equipmentAccurately log daily work activities including oil changes, fuel usage, samples, and maintenance completedConduct visual inspections of equipment and report any issues or deficienciesRecommend additional services based on inspection findingsMaintain fuel, oil, filter, and supply inventoryComplete all required daily paperwork and electronic recordsFollow all safety, environmental, and contamination control policiesCommunicate effectively with supervisors and equipment operatorsEquipment Worked OnHeavy equipment from manufacturers including CAT, Cummins, and similarQualifications1+ years of experience in a similar oil/lube technician or heavy equipment maintenance roleGeneral knowledge of heavy equipment preventative maintenance and basic repairsWorking knowledge of engines, powertrain, electrical, and hydraulic systems preferredPrior experience servicing heavy equipment and maintaining fluid levelsAbility to work afternoon shifts and in all weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry over 60 pounds and push/pull over 60 pounds for up to one-third of the workdayMust provide own basic hand tools required for daily tasksLicensing And RequirementsValid driver’s license with no more than 3 pointsClass A or B CDL preferredAbility to obtain a DOT medical cardNo felony convictions within the past 10 yearsNo DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 yearsWork EnvironmentOutdoor work in varying weather conditionsMust be willing to work wherever needed to support project and company successCompensation And BenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth insurance401(k)Paid holidays (6 per year)Paid vacation (progressive, up to 3 weeks per year)Employee referral bonus
