Hardware Engineer V
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Hardware Engineer V for an Onsite position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves defining and executing electrical characterization and validation for consumer electronics, specifically for subsystems including sensors, audio, and cameras. The ideal candidate will develop automated test setups, own the execution and reporting of results, and support system bring-up and debug activities in a lab environment. Responsibilities:Define electrical characterization/validation methodologies for sensors, audio, and camera subsystems by working with domain leads and partnersTrack and execute on detailed test plans for the PCB, modules, and subsystems characterization to meet key deadlinesDevelop automated test setups with SW scripting to implement module characterization/validationOwn execution, interpretation, and reporting of resultsSupport system bring up and debug activitiesClearly communicate test plans and results Requirements:3+ years of Electrical System testing for consumer electronicsExperience with one of the subsystems - sensors, audio, or cameraExperience executing electrical testing on the bench and familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamberUnderstanding of board schematics and board layout, with the ability to find proper probe locationsKnowledge of Python for data processing and automationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experienceSchematic capture, Python, and C experience Desired skills:Board and system level validation and debugging experienceC# and shell scripting is a plusExperience with data acquisition device (DAQ)Master's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Pay range: up to $127.00 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
