Resident Care Director

Job Description Position Summary: Assist in assessing resident care needs and implementing appropriate action; implement nursing policies and procedures; supervise staffing for the nursing department; supervise the quality of nursing care provided to the residents; and function as a designated staff person in charge when indicated. Position Responsibilities – ServiceDirect, evaluate and supervise all resident careInterpret existing policy and procedure to nursing staff, resident, families and physiciansReview documentation on resident admitted and compare physician orders with each resident's plan of care to assure appropriate implementation of the physician's plan of careOversee, support, and educate medication aidesEducation and in-service training to nursing staffParticipate in department head meetingsAssist new employees in following facility policies and proceduresImplement and review Individual service plans (care plans) per regulationsAssess potential or new residentsAssist with admission and discharge processAssist with nursing new hire, yearly training, and evaluationsReport change in condition of residents to administratorAnswer business phonesTour inquiring individualsAnswering call bells and respond to alarmsAll other duties assignedTeam Effort:Assist in the development and updating of each resident care plan (ISP)Assist in ensuring compliance with State and Local RegulationsChaperone activities outside the facility as neededAction:Identify resident issues and communicate them to the Administrator and the resident's physicianKeep the environment safe for residentsProvide one-on-one support/visitation to residentsRespond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention and follow-upPractice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils Reputation:Maintain professional relationships with all employees Maintain good hygiene and a professional appearanceSuccess:Contribute to resident satisfaction by ensuring that customer's expectations are met or exceededMaintain efficient and appropriate communication with residents, family members and guestContribute to marketing efforts through appropriate interaction with prospective resident and guestEssential skills, experience and abilities:Ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesStrong customer orientation to older adultsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPositive attitude, enthusiasm and energyAbility to read , write, and comprehendMeet the licensing requirements of a licensed nurse (LPN/RN) Powered by JazzHREwX1Exy51x
