The teaching assignments will be dependent on the qualifications, background, and experience of the successful candidate.What You Need to Succeed:A graduate degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or statistics is required.A strong commitment to teaching; preference will be given to those who present evidence of successful classroom teaching experiences for a minimum of one year in mathematics or statistics.Why It's Great to be a Pioneer:The Mathematics Department, in the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science, has 20 full-time tenure/tenure track positions, and regularly employs an additional 11-16 academic staff. The department offers undergraduate degrees in mathematics, mathematics education, and mathematics with an emphasis in either actuarial science, applied mathematics or finance. We also offer a B.S. degree in data science and a minor in applied statistics. The department also serves programs in engineering, science, technology, business, psychology and criminal justice. The College of EMS also participates in a statewide Collaborative Engineering Program that allows place-bound undergraduate students to complete their BS degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering with minimal travel.
