Why This Role Matters
Litigation is evolving fast — smarter case workflows, faster client expectations, and higher standards for precision. We’re looking for a paralegal who doesn’t just “process tasks,” but owns outcomes : someone who spots issues early, improves systems, and helps the team move faster with confidence.
If you’re the kind of person who thinks:
“There’s a better way—let’s build it,”
“I’ll figure it out,” and
“I’m not afraid to take initiative,”
you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support attorneys across the lifecycle of litigation and pre-suit matters, including:
Case & Litigation Support
Support attorneys in all stages of civil litigation (pre-suit through resolution)
Draft and prepare routine pleadings, motions, notices, and correspondence (attorney-reviewed)
Prepare and manage discovery (requests/responses, tracking, production coordination)
Organize, Bates stamp, and quality-check document productions
Deadlines, Filing, and Case Control
Manage calendaring: capture, calculate, and track all deadlines with redundancy and accuracy
Organize and electronically file pleadings and discovery
Maintain matter organization so any team member can quickly find “what matters, fast”
Communication & Client Experience
Communicate with opposing counsel and judicial assistants professionally and promptly
Provide consistent, clear client updates and help reduce confusion/inertia through proactive touchpoints
Flag risks, missing information, and next steps before they become problems
Research & Operational Excellence
Conduct legal research as needed
Improve workflows/templates/checklists to reduce rework and increase consistency
Use technology thoughtfully to accelerate drafting, summarizing, and organizing — without sacrificing accuracy or confidentiality
What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)
Deadlines are tight, reliable, and never “surprising”
Your cases are organized, searchable, and easy to hand off
Drafts and discovery packages require fewer revisions over time
Attorneys trust you to anticipate next steps and identify issues early
Clients feel informed, supported, and guided
Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years experience in real estate litigation, HOA/COA, and/or foreclosure (or closely related civil litigation)
Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
Confident remote worker: responsive, accountable, and able to self-manage priorities
Solutions-oriented judgment: you don’t just identify problems—you propose options
Preferred
Paralegal Certificate
Familiarity with Clio Manage and Clio Grow
Comfort with e-filing portals, document management best practices, and creating templates/checklists
Practical experience using modern tools (e.g., PDF workflows, digital signature tools, and AI-assisted drafting/summarization under supervision)
The Kind of Teammate We’re Looking For
We are intentionally hiring for these traits:
Resourceful: You can navigate ambiguity, find answers, and unblock progress.
Curious: You ask smart questions, learn quickly, and look for root causes.
Fearless: You take initiative, speak up early, and aren’t intimidated by new systems or hard problems.
High ownership: You treat deadlines, quality, and client experiences like they’re yours.
Calm under pressure: You bring order when things get busy.
Tools & Tech (What You’ll Likely Use)
Microsoft Suite / Outlook
E-filing systems, PDF/document workflows, discovery management practices
AI-enabled productivity tools (used responsibly and with confidentiality controls)
