Join our Laboratory Services team and play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic results that physicians and patients rely on every day.Why This Role MattersAs a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), you’ll perform moderate- and high-complexity testing across the full laboratory workflow—pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic. Your expertise ensures timely, reliable results while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.What You’ll DoPerform authorized moderate and high-complexity laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA regulationsExecute testing accurately and efficiently following established laboratory and hospital proceduresHandle specimens, analyze results, and ensure accurate reporting and documentationPerform and document quality control activities, calibrations, maintenance, and proficiency testingIdentify testing issues, troubleshoot problems, and take corrective action or escalate as neededMaintain compliance when test systems fall outside acceptable performance rangesDemonstrate consistent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workCommunicate clearly and professionally with laboratory leadership and team membersWork independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions when leadership is unavailableAdhere to all safety protocols and promote a safe, compliant laboratory environmentWhat We’re Looking ForEducationBachelor’s degree and successful completion of a Medical Technology program which is accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA), or equivalent training, education, and experience in the military.ExperienceMinimum of one year of full-time clinical laboratory experience.CertificationASCP, AMT, or equivalent nationally recognized Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist certification requiredSkills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and testing methodologiesExperience with LIS and basic computer applicationsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skillsHappy to HelpAt Meritus, we believe in a collaborative and caring work environment.
