With 30% travel. The individual needs to be in the areas provided in the job posting as they will need to come into the office periodically and can be remote some of the time. This is subject to change based on any client's policy changes.Required Experience Experience in engineering and technical oversight associated with capital projects, including scoping, study, design, procurement, and construction Experience working with engineering contracts, project design control, compliance with industry standards, QA/QC processes, and managing engineering budgets and schedulesJob OverviewThis position is responsible for all engineering and technical oversight associated with assigned capital projects developed and executed by the respective department within GPFS. Duties include development of engineering contracts, control of project design, compliance with client's & industry standards, QA/QC, and management of engineering budgets & schedules. For assigned projects, this position leads engineering for scoping, study, design, procurement, construction, and ensures replication of engineering solutions. This role establishes and communicates engineering priorities to contract partners, project team members, and management. It also provides leadership and technical direction to the project design and execution team while ensuring quality products from design firms, contractors and OEMs meet or exceed project requirements.Job Responsibilities Weekly in-person or teams’ meetings or more often if needed to review all projects going over the PM and PrgMrgs separate to do list to help keep each other from missing anything Keeps a log of all engineering milestones to make sure engineering partners and projects in phase one and phase two are tracking the milestones and doing everything needed to not miss these milestones Raises the flags as early as possible if any milestones are not on track Facilitates all JPTs for phase 1 and 2 meetings, leading the meetings with the engineering partners Ensures all items needed for design packages are being turned in in a timely manner Go-to between the engineering partners and the plant engineering teams Works with vendor engineering teams if needing items from them Keeps tracks of the engineering POs, making sure they are in budget and informs partner and myself if they are getting close to cost and if there needs to be a revision Notifies PM when invoices are in and approved in an expeditious manner Reaches out to engineering partners to make sure fee evaluations are done in a timely manner and not holding up the project from closing Follows the project tracking method that the PM keeps seeing when RFP packages are needed for projects beginning or changing from phase to phase Keeps PM informed of the proposal reviews and discuss together their thought process on the best partner for that project Captures lessons learned along the way Clean up late DCN reports from prior program managers Responds to emails and calls in a very timely manner Makes PM/PrgMgr communication a priority Goes to all sites visits required plus visits that are not Emphasizes safety expectations during meetings**Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.****Please note that all Position start dates and duration are estimates and may be reduced or lengthened based upon a client’s business needs and requirements.**BenefitsFor information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
