In this role, you’ll promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, building strong relationships and delivering solutions that protect people and property. You’ll be the Johnson Controls Security brand ambassador—sharing our story and demonstrating why we’re the leading electronic security provider. Your focus will be on securing new business, upgrading existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service.How You Will Do ItAdhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, programs, and servicesCreate new market share by selling Johnson Controls Security products and services to new local commercial customersSell additional products and services to existing accounts and identify new opportunitiesRenew existing customer agreements and manage resale opportunities within your territoryIdentify prospects using creative lead-generation techniques and maintain strong relationships with existing customersEstablish call plans and follow-up strategies independently, applying effective time and territory managementMaintain in-depth knowledge of our products/services and customer needs through training and researchObtain referrals and build relationships with Centers of InfluenceProcess work orders and complete all paperwork accurately and on timeConduct post-installation follow-up to ensure commitments were met and affirm customer satisfactionRequiredWhat we look forHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior-level executivesAbility to work a full-time scheduleAvailable for local travelPreferredCollege degreeMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in security, IT, or technology sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotasSalary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $55k-69k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation forthis role.
