Varsity Wrestling Assistant Coach

This seasonal position requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of wrestling techniques, and the ability to motivate and guide young athletes.ResponsibilitiesAssist the head coach in planning and implementing daily practice sessions and training programs.Provide instruction on wrestling techniques, strategies, and conditioning to student-athletes.Help monitor the academic progress of wrestlers and promote a balance between athletics and academics.Support the organization and execution of team events, including competitions, fundraisers, and community outreach activities.Maintain a safe and positive training environment by enforcing safety protocols and sportsmanship standards.Assist in the preparation of athletes for competitions, including weight management and mental readiness.Collaborate with the head coach to evaluate athlete performance and provide feedback for improvement.Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team policies and expectations.Attend all practices, competitions, and team meetings as required.RequirementsPrevious experience in wrestling, either as a competitor or coach, is preferred.Strong understanding of wrestling techniques and strategies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.Must be able to pass a background check.Availability to work evenings and weekends during the wrestling season.A commitment to the academic and athletic development of student-athletes.J-18808-Ljbffr
