Coastal Restoration Technician Part-Time (Temporary)

The Monmouth University Urban Coast Institute (UCI) is seeking a part-time Coastal Restoration Technician to assist the Coastal Restoration Program on a portfolio of existing coastal resilience restoration research projects and future projects related to coastal restoration and resilience. This position will involve field and laboratory work and aquaculture operations at UCI's off-site facility located at Naval Weapons Station Earle. The anticipated timeline for this role is 13 weeks starting on May 18 - August 14, with an option to continue through November 20, 2026 if both parties are agreeable.Additional Application Material Required:Monmouth University requires all applications and supporting documents to be submitted via the university's career portal. Work with NWSE staff and partners on upgrading and maintaining facility operations.* Monitoring and Data Collection: Conduct field research at project sites using a variety of methodologies and techniques to monitor species richness, oyster growth and survival, water quality and shoreline protection efforts. Assist in deploying instrumentation for oceanographic data collection and data analysis.
