Duration:          12 Months Job DescriptionThe Client ADG (Aerospace, Defense, Government Business Unit) Customer Centric Solutions Team is seeking thire an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer twork on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products. The primary responsibilities of this position are twork with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers tdefine, document, design, deploy and sustain NI products tailored tmeet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design.Core Job Responsibilities:This is a multi functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability tgather requirements, generate specification documents, and interface with alliance partners, contract manufacturers and internal personnel tdesign, deploy and sustain custom solutions worldwide. This is a high visibility role within NI requiring daily interaction with NI customers, NI Alliance Partners, NI Sales Teams, NI Engineering Teams, and Executive Management. The role will include:Interacting with a wide variety of NI customers, NI staff, external alliance partners and suppliers in support of designing, implementing and sustaining of custom solutionsGenerating requirements documents, statements of work and Bills of MaterialsDefining and implementing project plans, managing milestones and holding reviews tassure systems meet requirements and readiness for deploymentSpecifying, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying turnkey automated solutionsDirecting support personnel, managing project technical deliverables, guiding technical decisions and driving field found issues tresolutionTraveling as needed (possibly up t25%) domestically and abroad in support of project objectivesExperience and Skill Requirements:Minimum Requirements:B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering TechnologyMinimum of 7 years relevant industry experience in a Hardware Systems Design Role or a Test Engineering Design RoleStrong understanding of electrical engineering, electronics & computer architecturesUnderstanding of high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#)Demonstrated understanding of the following concepts and principles:Sources of measurement errorAppropriate selection of instrumentation and equipmentUnderstanding of schematics and wiring diagramsIntegration of hardware and softwareBill of Materials creation and reviewFamiliarity with CAD and PCB design toolsStatistical analysis of data (Cp, Cpk, GR&R)Preferred Skills:Hands on use of schematic capture tools and PCB design toolsKnowledge in Component Supplier SelectionKnowledge in Compliance Certifications (CE, UL, TUV, Etc.)Hands on use of NI Hardware Platforms and InstrumentsHands on use of NI LabVIEW and Test StandDemonstrated ability to:Work effectively in a diverse, multi cultural group development environmentProblem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutionsLead teams in test and measurement system designTake initiative, be a self-starter, and work independentlyPersistently drive tasks and lead projects tsuccessful completionQuickly learn applicable technology, systems, and productsStrong work ethic and drive tsucceed  About US Tech Solutions:US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
