Manager, Finance ＆Accounting - Japanese BilingualWe are seeking a hands-on and business-oriented Finance & Accounting manager to join the company's North American organization.Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will be responsible for leading core accounting operations while establishing and enhancing FP&A capabilities to support the company’s continued growth.The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen and has the ability to operate as a player-coach—personally driving critical accounting processes while building scalable financial planning and performance management frameworks.Accounting & Financial ReportingLead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the U.S. operationsEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting to headquarters and management teamsMaintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal requirementsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiencySupport cash management and treasury-related activities as neededAudit & Tax ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providersCoordinate and manage annual audits, tax filings, and compliance-related projectsEnsure adherence to regulatory, financial, and corporate governance requirementsFP&A & Performance ManagementDevelop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning processesConduct monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights to managementDesign and implement KPI reporting frameworks to support business performance monitoringBuild and enhance forecasting models for inventory management, cash flow, and working capitalSupport executive decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business performance evaluationLeadership & Cross-Functional PartnershipAct as a trusted business partner to the VP of Finance and senior leadership teamDrive cross-functional initiatives to improve financial visibility and operational performanceProvide guidance and mentorship to finance team members while maintaining a hands-on approach to executionQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, FP&A, advisory, consulting, or related functionsStrong knowledge of financial accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting processesExperience leading audits and managing external advisorsDemonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI managementStrong project management and stakeholder management skillsHands-on, player-coach mentality with the willingness to operate both strategically and tacticallyExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environmentPreferred: Background in advisory, transaction services, accounting advisory, or management consultingExperience transitioning from accounting into FP&A or business finance rolesCPA, US CPA, or equivalent accounting certificationExperience working in multinational organizations and collaborating with overseas headquarters
