VMware Systems Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a VMware Systems Engineer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, TX (onsite) .Responsibilities :Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts (6.5+), vCenter Server, and vSANConfigure and manage virtual networks, storage, and other virtualization componentsInstallation, configuration, administration Virtual Center Server, VMware View, Disaster Recovery, Plate Spin, vMotion, P2V, P2P, V2V, VMWare Update ManagerMonitor and troubleshoot VMware vSphere environment for performance and availabilityDevelop and maintain automation scripts for VMware vSphere environmentvCenter integration with AD, DNS, backup or any other applicationsRequired Skills :Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similarExperience in managing Red Hat RHEL Operating SystemsGood problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.VMware administration experience with vSphere, ESXi 6.5+, vCenter, and vSANExperience with VMware View/Horizon, vMotion, Update Manager, and disaster recoveryStrong knowledge of VMware networking, storage, clustering, HA/DRS, and P2V/V2V migrationsExperience troubleshooting and optimizing VMware environments for performance and availabilityScripting/automation experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or similar toolsExperience integrating vCenter with Active Directory, DNS, and backup solutionsPreferred Skills :VMWare Certified ProfessionalExperience in other virtualization technologies – Kernel-based virtual machines (KVM), Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization (container-native virtualization)Experience in container technologies – KubernetesIn-depth knowledge in Virtualization and Hypervisor security including hardening techniques for the virtualization platform to prevent attack threatsExperience in managing relationships with vendorsSGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
