Job Summary and Responsibilities
Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a large multi‑specialty medical group in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a full‑time Board Certified OB Hospitalist Physician to their team. Responsibilities would include covering the OB emergency department, covering patients in labor & delivery, providing emergency gynaecological consults, and being available for surgical assist needs. Incoming physicians would be based out of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento
Hospital does approximately 1800 births per year
24 hour back‑up OB on‑call
Full time would be twelve 12‑hour shifts per month and shifts can be done as 24‑hour shifts
Additional compensation provided for doing additional shifts
Level II nursery with support from the Level III NICU at Mercy San Juan Medical Center

Active board certification required
Compensation Range: $330,000 – $339,000 plus bonuses
Job Requirements
MD or DO degree
Board‑Certified in OB/GYN (ABMS or AOA)
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA certification
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Passion for delivering compassionate, high‑quality care in a fast‑paced environment

MMG is a large multi‑specialty medical group of 500+ providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These professionals provide seamless primary and specialty care, working together to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.
MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Mercy Medical Group is aligned with Dignity Health, operating on a medical foundation model.
