Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterologist Near Barnesville, PAWe are currently seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens position near Barnesville, PA. The position is available ASAP and is ongoing, offering a stable and rewarding assignment for the right candidate. Position Overview:Profession : Physician Specialty : Gastroenterology Start Date : ASAP Contract Length : Ongoing Shift Details :Full-time coverage required Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (clinic) Procedures from 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday-Thursday) Procedures from 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM (Friday) 24/7 call coverage may be required on a rotational basis (no Monday-Friday call)Work Details:Practice Setting :Rotations between the hospital, ambulatory center, and clinic/office visits Block schedules in the Ambulatory Center Office open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PMPatient Volume :10-15 patients per day Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatricsProcedures :General gastroenterology procedures No ERCP, EUS, or high-end services required Procedures include standard colonoscopies, EGDs, Flex Sig, etc. Expect to perform 10-12 procedures per day, with full days dedicated to the Endo Suite or Ambulatory CenterSupport Staff :2 Advanced Practitioners (AP) and a seasoned clinic staff Collaborative environment with a well-seasoned teamEMR/Documentation :EPIC for general charting and GI-specific documentation with Provation Dragon for dictation, Mobile Heartbeat for hospital services, and Tiger Text for provider communicationRequirements:Board Certification : Gastroenterology required Licensure : Active Pennsylvania (PA) license required Certifications :Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Experience :Must be proficient in general gastroenterology procedures and comfortable with full-spectrum GI services in both outpatient and inpatient settingsSkills :Strong communication and collaboration skillsThis locum tenens role near Barnesville, PA, offers a balanced work-life schedule with the opportunity to provide critical gastroenterology care in a busy practice.
