Overview In this Controller role, you will own all accounting operations in a fast-growing startup. You’ll drive scalable financial processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and support rapid expansion through cross-functional collaboration. You’ll build robust systems for revenue recognition and cash management, partnering with Sales, Legal, and Operations. The position offers meaningful impact by shaping the company’s financial backbone in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end accounting across AP, AR, billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and cash managementManage monthly close, GL reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP financial statementsCoordinate with external firms for audits, tax filings, and internal controlsOptimize accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and billing platforms (Stripe, Aleph)Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations on contracts and revenue recognition workflowsOversee bespoke client invoicing, multi-tiered billing, and collections for Fortune 500 clientsSupport strategic FP&A, process improvement, and automation initiatives to scale growth Key requirements7+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years leading accounting processes and month-end closeDeep expertise in GAAP, ASC 606, and financial reporting standardsExperience managing ERP and billing platforms (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp, Stripe, Aleph)Hands-on approach to implementing scalable workflows in a startupExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsCPA certification strongly preferredstrong communicationcross-functional collaborationadaptabilityGAAPASC 606 revenue recognitionERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Ramp)
