Line Cooks are expected to prepare food and set up stations in a quick-paced and hot environment.Duties and Responsibilities: The primary job duties and responsibilities of being a Line Cook include but are not limited to the following:Must be passionate about foodMust be able to work the entry level stationMust learn and be knowledgeable of the food menusMust be able to read and accurately follow standardized recipes to ensure a consistent product every timeMust be able to listen and follow directions from the Kitchen ManagerOrganize timing of food preparation for serviceMust be able to maintain a positive attitude and work ethic under extreme stressMust treat others with respect at all timesMust monitor quality control to ensure guest satisfactionControls food portions for a balanced food costContributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quicklyAbility to maintain in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to learn and memorize where everything in the kitchen is locatedAbility to take direction and pay attention to callsMust be willing to learn from other cooksMust adhere to sanitation, safety and food regulationsMaintains a clean and sanitary work stationPerforms up to company standards and expectationsMust maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance, meeting the Pressed and Tailored standardPerforms other duties as assignedTiny Boxwoods offers competitive wages, daily family meals, generous employee discounts and beautiful spaces to work.Qualifications: Tiny Boxwoods Productions require the minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the position of Line Cook:Texas Food Handlers certificateClose attention to detail and consistencyGood memoryFlexible availability in schedulingCapacity to multitaskAbility to work as part of a teamClear communication both verbal and writtenWorking Conditions: The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting, on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required.Physical Requirements: The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear.
