Field Service Technician

The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. This role is comprised of maintenance of outdoor weather testing equipment at the Wittmann, Arizona Desert Testing site. The position is diverse, hands-on, and technical in nature, and includes support of day-to-day site operations management. It involves a significant amount of time spent outdoors. ResponsibilitiesMust have knowledge with Motors, Electrical, and controls systemsKnowledge of PLC & Automation Programing Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on siteProvide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customersComplete on-site system audits and evaluationsMaintain and upgrade the site’s data acquisition systems and logic controller programmingIdentify and implement engineering improvements to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and usabilityOrganize and support engineering projects in collaboration with maintenance mechanicsDevelop detailed technical documentation, procedures, and system records for both new and legacy operationsLearn and maintain a deep technical understanding of motors & electrical system procedures with ability to educate customersAct as a high-level customer support and technical resource for operationsOversee the Maintenance team by providing direction and working collaboratively on solutions to issues encounteredSupport the overall operations of the business when the Site Manager is awayAssist with coordination of calibration activities for measurement equipment (internal and external)QualificationsAbility to read blueprints and schematicsStrong written and verbal communication skills5+ years' installing and maintaining machinesAbility to travel Ohio for Training Ability to lift up to 75 poundsMust be ok with working outdoors
