The Magnet Coordinator will conduct professional development related to theme-integrated Tier 1 instruction; including the facilitation of site-based PD and PLC/CTT, as well as Instructional Coaching around theme integration. The Magnet Coordinator will collect and analyze data as it relates to the site magnet plan, plan and conduct recruitment events, and develop a marketing plan for the magnet site in the efforts to ensure the success and growth of the site's magnet program.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSAppropriate Arizona Teaching CertificateIVP Fingerprint Clearance CardExperience in Adult Learning TheoryExperience providing Professional DevelopmentFive (5) years teaching experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStructured English Immersion (SEI) EndorsementExperience with Magnet School PlanKnowledge of Magnet Evaluation SystemKnowledge of Magnet Schools of America (MSA) Standards and Measures as related to school themeKnowledge of Unitary Status PlansMarketing/Events Planning ExperienceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIREProof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.COMMENTSEffective:2026-2027 SCHOOL YEARLocation: Borton Magnet Elementary School –22 nd St & Park Ave AreaFTE:1.0, 7.5 hours per dayWork Calendar: 9.5 monthPositions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
