Internal Audit Senior Manager

We are looking for an Internal Audit Senior Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.Our client is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Senior Manager to lead internal audit activities, strengthen governance and risk management practices, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a proven audit leader with strong SOX expertise and the ability to partner across the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit engagements across operational, financial, and compliance areasDevelop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on enterprise risk assessmentManage and mentor internal audit staff, providing oversight, guidance, and performance feedbackEvaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processesOversee SOX compliance activities, including control testing, documentation, and coordination with external auditorsCommunicate audit results, risks, and recommendations clearly to management and senior leadershipPartner with business stakeholders to support remediation efforts and process improvementsEnsure internal audit practices align with professional standards and organizational objectivesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA required8+ years of internal audit or related experience, including management responsibilityStrong knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal controlsHands‑on SOX compliance and testing experienceExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work a hybrid schedule on the east side of Columbus, OhioWhat Our Client OffersA senior‑level role with influence over risk management and governanceOpportunity to lead and enhance internal audit processesCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefitsA stable organization focused on control, compliance, and continuous improvement
