Operational Risk Senior Associate We are partnered with a well-established financial institution who is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Senior Associate to join its Risk Management team. This individual will play a key role in strengthening the organization's operational risk framework through incident analysis, control testing, risk assessments, and governance support across multiple business lines. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders on strategic risk initiatives in a collaborative banking environment. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToPerform initial analysis of operational risk incidents and identify potential business impacts Conduct front-to-back reviews of incidents to determine whether enhancements are needed to processes, functions, or controls Ensure operational risk incidents are accurately documented and managed within the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform Support internal reviews of procedures and controls across various business and product areas to ensure controls are effectively designed and operating properly Partner with stakeholders to implement enhanced controls, process improvements, and targeted second-line testing efforts Coordinate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) with business risk owners to ensure risks and controls are appropriately documented and tested Participate in enterprise risk projects, special assessments, and initiatives that impact the bank's operational risk profile Prepare reporting, memoranda, and presentations for senior leadership and executive-level audiences Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline Minimum of 4 years of experience within banking, financial services, operational risk, audit, compliance, or controls-related functions Experience working with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) systems such as RSA Archer, MetricStream, LogicManager, or similar platforms preferred Strong understanding of banking operations, including commercial banking, lending, wealth management, investments, and operational processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI If you are interested in learning more, please apply directly or email directly to e.ferguson@hwthree.com
