PART TIME FACULTY POOL - POLITICAL SCIENCE
This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time (up to 67%), substitute, temporary, or hourly assignments on an as needed basis. Part-Time faculty applications will remain in the pool for one year. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Departments will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments. This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.ASSIGNMENTApplications for Part-Time Instructors are always being accepted for assignments at the main campus as well as teaching on-line and at off-campus sites located at Fort Irwin. Assignments are at the discretion of the District.Master’s in political science, government, or international relations OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, and any ethnic studies, Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.) OR the equivalent.Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse, academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.Desired QualificationsDemonstrated proficiency in teaching at the community college level.EquivalencyIf you do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated on the Job Announcement, you must complete this form to claim the equivalent to the minimum qualifications in the discipline.
