Shreveport-Bossier offers a delightful Southern atmosphere, encouraging you to relax and enjoy a variety of year-round festivals, gaming options, exquisite dining, live music, and family-friendly attractions.Key Responsibilities and RequirementsAnnual base salary range: $375,000 - $400,000Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Supervise, mentor, and educate graduates, including GI fellows and residents.Manage diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic gastroenterological and endoscopic services.Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopies, including bleeding control, polypectomy, EMR, PEGS, and dilation.Collaborate with various health professionals within the medical center and provide consultations to other departments.Possess fundamental endoscopic skills and demonstrate an interest in clinical and research activities.Hold a current, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state.Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.Preferred: Proficiency in all basic GI endoscopy procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy.Benefits and OpportunitiesEducation Debt Reduction Program: Assistance with repaying outstanding medical school loans.Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME.Retirement Benefits: Traditional federal pension (5-year vesting) and a federal 401K with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.CME Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 per year (available for full-time employees with board certification).Employment Flexibility: No restrictive physician employment contract and minimal limitations on moonlighting.Potential recruitment or relocation incentives available.If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please submit your current CV to discuss further.
