Position SummaryThe Email & SMS Marketing Specialist is a data-driven individual who owns the execution and optimization of our lifecycle marketing programs through the Listrak platform. This role will be responsible for building campaigns and automated journeys that drive revenue, increase customer retention, and support our omnichannel retail strategy.The ideal candidate combines technical platform expertise, strong marketing instincts, and analytical thinking to translate business goals into high-performing customer communications.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Email & SMS Campaign ExecutionBuild, schedule, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using the Listrak platformManage promotional calendars aligned with merchandising, ecommerce, and store marketing prioritiesEnsure campaigns are executed accurately and on scheduleLifecycle Marketing & AutomationDevelop and maintain automated lifecycle journeys, including:Welcome seriesAbandoned cart/browsePost-purchase flowsReplenishment remindersWin-back campaignsLoyalty and VIP communicationsContinuously optimize automation flows to improve conversion and customer engagementAudience Segmentation & PersonalizationBuild and manage customer segments based on behavior, purchase history, and engagementImplement dynamic content and personalization to improve relevance and revenue performanceSupport targeted messaging for new customer acquisition and retention initiativesTesting & OptimizationExecute A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, creative, send times, segmentation, and offersAnalyze campaign performance and recommend improvementsOptimize for KPIs including:Revenue per sendConversion rateClick rateList growthSMS engagementPerformance ReportingMonitor and report on email and SMS performance metricsProvide insights and recommendations to improve lifecycle marketing effectivenessPartner with analytics and marketing leadership to measure marketing-influenced revenueCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with creative, merchandising, ecommerce, and store marketing teams to ensure messaging aligns with business prioritiesCoordinate campaign requirements including creative assets, product selections, and landing pagesCompliance & List HealthManage list growth strategies and database healthEnsure compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and SMS opt-in requirementsMaintain deliverability best practices and suppression strategiesMinimum Qualifications2–5 years' experience in email and/or SMS marketingHands-on experience with Listrak or a similar ESP/SMS platform (Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, etc.)Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategiesExperience with segmentation, automation workflows, and A/B testingAnalytical mindset with ability to interpret performance dataPreferred ExperienceExperience in retail or ecommerceFamiliarity with CRM/CDP data integrationBasic understanding of HTML email editingExperience working with marketing calendars and merchandising teamsExperience with Listrak a huge plus!What Success Looks LikeSuccess in this role will be measured by:Email & SMS revenue contributionGrowth in marketing-influenced revenueImprovements in engagement and conversion ratesGrowth of SMS and email subscriber listsPerformance of lifecycle automation programsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
